David Millington Photography Commissioned to photograph award winning Sheffield Public Realm Scheme

Today David photographed the award winning Sheffield Gold Route. The Gold Route takes visitors from Sheffield Railway Station through a series of exciting new developments each with their own distinctive lighting, public art and water features. Spaces include Sheaf Square, Howard Street, Millennium Square, the Peace Gardens and Barkers Pool.
Sheffield’s Gold Route won Public Realm of the Year at the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) White Rose Awards for Design Excellence in 2006, Sheffield's Gold Route (Station Sq/Howard St/Millenium Sq/Peace Gardens/Barkers Pool) won the Award for Best Designed Regeneration Development, plus a Civic Trust Award and a Special Award for Streetscape for the city centre’s amazing collection of public spaces in March 2008.
