Brockholes Wetlands & Woodlands Nature Reserve & Visitors Centre
Brockholes Wetlands and Woodlands Nature Reserve and Visitors Centre can be found nestled adjacent to the M6 Junction 31 Preston. The site covers over 100 hectares of a disused Sand Quarry.
The visitors centre has been constructed on top of a floating pontoon. Visitors approach the visitor centre via a jetty passing over a hydraulically operated draw bridge. Visitor attractions include a cafe, wildlife shop retail outlet selling local produce, as well as an Wildlife Trust exhibition centre.
