Booths Penrith Interior Photography by Architectural Photographer David Millington

02nd December 2011
David has been commissioned by Booths and Eric Wright Construction Ltd to photograph the New Booths Penrith Food Store. Some Exterior Photography was uploaded earlier this month. David has since revisited Penrith and photographed some interiors of the new supermarket. The ares which have been photographed to date include the First Floor Café, the Staircase, the Checkouts and the Fresh Food Counters. The Fresh Food Counters are unusually situated at the front of the Store in a radical departure from traditional supermarket design.

David approaches his Architectural Photography from a different angle to most Architectural Photographers, often photographing people to provide scale to photographs, make the spaces look more lived in and less sterile. The Booths brief was to capture customers shopping and in order to fulfil this members of the general public were asked their permission to be photographed and model releases were obtained.

Penrith Mountain Warehouse occupies the Retail Unit which is accessed through the Booths Car Park.

David will be returning to Penrith to complete more exterior, interior and dusk photography in the New Year. To view the images of Booths Penrith click here.
