Architectural Photographer David Millington is to Photograph Penrith's New Sqaures Development. Work has already begun on site and David will soon commence the site progress photography after having a site visit and recce to decide on viewpoints with Architects and Engineer's Hadfield Cawkwell Davidson (HCD).
The Penrith New Squares development is an extension to Penrith's existing town centre. The scheme is a mixed use development of affordable housing, a multi-storey car park and retail, including a Sainsbury's Supermarket.
The area around Southend Road in Penrith was first identified as a site for a potential retail development in 1996. The £77m New Squares project hit problems in 2008 when the recession led its Australian backers to pull out.
Eden District Council have backed plans by Sainsbury's, which will retain much of the original retail and leisure aspects of the development.
